Your starter for 10 - what do you want?
Take 10 minutes to go through the following list of questions.
The Questions:
- Out of 10, how happy are you with your life? (10 being fantastic)
- Think about what a '10' would look like to you: what are you doing that tells you it's a '10'?, what are you hearing, seeing, feeling? And maybe even smelling and tasting that tells you it's a '10'?
- What do you really want?
Put this in positive terms, for example, if you want to be less stressed you could say 'I want to be relaxed, calm, feeling at peace'. Get the idea? Don't go setting negative goals. You want to be in the black in the bank not aiming for the red!
- Where are now in relation to what you want (your outcome)?
- What do you get out of being there?
- Is there anything you would need to give up or change to move towards your outcome?
- What's stopping you? What are the limitations? What you want instead?
- If you got want you wanted what would it do for you?
Take massive action!
- When will do you do it?
- Where will you do it?
- How will you do it?
- What is the first step?
It is also useful to have a context in mind as you think through, for example, your work, your relationships, your social life, your house etc.
Experience is not what happens to a man; it is what a man does with what happens to him.
