Want to be more more Confident and Assertive?
Wouldn't it be great if you could wave a magic wand and instantly get more confidence to do the things you want to do?
Imagine for a moment that you do have a wand - or borrow mine!
… and just for a moment, adopt the belief that you can do anything you want to do … knowing that you can change … knowing you can get what you want … allow that feeling to develop … no really … close your eyes and imagine you really can get what you want … what would you ask for?
Perhaps you would like to:
- change jobs?
- find a partner?
- start your own business?
- take up a hobby, sport or evening class?
The above are quite big things and there are many smaller areas which can cause a lot more day to day anxiety, for example:
- saying 'No' to a request in your work or personal life
- complaining about bad service in shops and restaurants
- speak up in meetings
- ask someone to dance or for a date
You may like to ask yourself:
- what am I not doing that I want to do?
- what is the impact of this and the ‘cost’ to me and my life (maybe also my family, friends and work colleagues)

Go into any major bookstore to the self-help section and you'll find stacks of titles on how to improve self-confidence. It's worth taking time to look through a few before parting with your cash.
